Some setups just need a little more room to work right. That was the situation here at Hickory Acres Campground - the existing deck space wasn't cutting it, and getting in and out of the camper wasn't as safe or comfortable as it should be. A quick extension and a proper set of steps made all the difference.
We built out a fresh pressure-treated deck section that ties directly into the existing platform. Clean, solid, and level. The new lumber sits right alongside the older deck, giving the whole site a much more functional layout - plenty of room to move around, set up chairs, and actually enjoy the space.
The steps we built right at the camper door are a big part of what makes this work. Wide, sturdy treads, consistent rise from step to step. No more awkward drop from the door down to the deck. It's the kind of detail that sounds small but makes a real difference every single time you walk in or out.
This is the kind of custom deck work we do regularly - not every job needs to be a full build from scratch. Sometimes it's about extending what's already there and making it work better. Whether it's a campground site, a backyard, or anywhere in between, we can build something that fits the space and holds up over time.
A covered gazebo structure was already in place on site, and the new deck ties right into that footprint. The whole setup now feels intentional - a real outdoor living space instead of just a pad next to a camper.
