We're in the thick of a big exterior overhaul on this home in Bryan, Ohio. Before any new siding goes up, the old roof overhang had to come off. That's not a small job - it changes the whole profile of the wall and gives us a clean, flat surface to work with going forward.

Here's the thing most people don't think about: the prep work is where a siding job is won or lost. Skipping steps or rushing through demo might save a day upfront, but it creates problems that show up later - gaps, moisture intrusion, warping. We don't cut corners on the front end.

Once the overhang was out and the wall was properly prepped, we got TamlynWrap house wrap installed across the entire exposed wall section. That wrap is your home's first line of defense against wind-driven rain and moisture before the siding ever goes on. It's one of those steps that's completely hidden once the job is done, but it matters a lot for long-term performance.

New siding and windows are coming next. When it's all said and done, this exterior is going to look completely different - and more importantly, it's going to be built right from the inside out. We'll be posting the final results, so stay tuned.
